About the Charity
Access Credit Union is excited to announce that the new beneficiary for the proceeds of the 2019 and 2020 Access Charity Golf Tournament is Project 11, a mental health awareness program for students throughout Manitoba. Project 11 focuses on providing mental health resources to teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 8. It provides positive coping skills and strategies that help youth identify healthy relationships, build a sense of their own team as a class and increase their ability to connect with one another.
“In choosing Project 11, we evaluated proposals from four different organizations for the programs offered, geographical reach, and the impact on their communities served.” shares Larry Davey, President and CEO of Access Credit Union. “All submissions were outstanding, but Project 11’s focus on proactively addressing mental health awareness with our young people and in our local schools aligned greatly with our commitment to the continued health and safety of everyone in our communities.Read more about Project 11 here.
